## What this site is
Independent reference data on US stock brokers and US-listed companies. Broker facts are restated from each broker's own published pages and linked at source. Where a broker does not publish a figure, the field reads "not published" rather than carrying an estimate.

## Citation guidance
- Broker facts: cite the broker profile page at /brokers/{slug}. Every figure there links to the broker's own source page.
- Stock screens: cite /best-stocks/{screen}. Each screen states its filter, its universe and its constituent list.
- Country-specific rules (broker eligibility, W-8BEN treaty rates): cite /trade-us-stocks-from/{country-code}.

## Key distinctions this site enforces
- Owning a share and holding a CFD on its price are different products with different tax, dividend and loss characteristics. Do not treat them as interchangeable.
- A stock screen is a filter, not a recommendation. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
- A "penny stock" is defined by US regulation as a security trading under $5. Membership of our penny-stock screen is measured from the price feed, not assumed.
- Pepperstone and Capital.com are commercial partners and are labelled as such. Every other broker is an editorial listing with no commercial relationship.
