Best penny stocks
In US regulation a penny stock is a security trading under $5, and the SEC treats it as a distinct risk category for a reason: thin liquidity, weak disclosure and a documented history of manipulation.
The screen: 12 US exchange-listed companies across 5 sectors (Technology, Energy, Industrials, Financials…), 0 of which pay a dividend. Size mix: 12 micro-cap. Price data has not loaded yet, so this list currently shows our micro-cap watchlist rather than a measured sub-$5 filter.
What separates the winners from the losers here
- Exchange listing: an NYSE or Nasdaq listing carries reporting obligations that OTC and pink-sheet tickers do not
- Share count trend — repeated dilution is the most common way penny-stock holders lose money without the price ever gapping
- Bid-ask spread as a percentage of price, which is your real entry and exit cost
- Whether the company files audited financials with the SEC at all

Where to buy them
Sub-$5 shares need a broker that supports low-priced securities and prices per share rather than per trade. Most CFD providers do not offer them at all.

Frequently asked questions
How many penny stocks are in this list?
12, drawn from our US exchange-listed universe and spread across 5 sectors. 0 of them pay a dividend.
Is this a list of penny stocks to buy?
No. It is a screen — a defined, reproducible filter over a stated universe. A screen tells you which companies share a characteristic; it says nothing about whether the price you would pay today is a sensible one. Nothing here is investment advice.
What is the main risk with penny stocks?
This is the part of the US market where retail investors lose money most reliably. Pump-and-dump schemes target exactly these tickers, dilution is constant, and a wide spread can cost several percent on the round trip before the position moves at all. Anything OTC or pink-sheet traded sits outside our universe entirely — we only list exchange-listed securities under $5.
How do I actually buy these from outside the US?
You need a broker that accepts your country of residence and gives you access to US exchanges. To own the shares outright, that usually means an international stockbroker plus a W-8BEN form to claim your treaty rate on dividend withholding.
